Courtnee Bennett

With education and experience in geology, art, and medicine, Courtnee Bennett has a unique background for an artist.

She attained a Bachelor of Arts in Earth and Planetary Sciences with a minor in Art from Washington University in St. Louis. After completing the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program at Agnes Scott University, working as a geologist for several years, and drawing on the side, Courtnee realized her true passion is art. She received her Masters of Fine Arts and Masters of Art Education at the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. She is currently teaching high school art in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Her concentration is drawing with pastels and charcoal, and her current work focuses on depicting terrains on isolated regions of the nude human figure.
